About the project
The Greyton Post is the community newspaper for the village of Greyton in the Western Cape. Its tagline is “Your village. Your stories. Your voice.” The site publishes local news, events and stories about community life. It has a breaking-news ticker and the latest news from the environment, community and newsbites sections. It also has a local business directory, a “What’s On” events calendar and digital editions of each issue. Live widgets show the village’s weather, UV index, sunrise and sunset times, and fire danger. A list of local advertisers appears alongside them. The site is the main online source of village news for everyone who lives in or loves Greyton.
